Frequently Asked Questions
Chiropractic is suitable for all ages, body types and levels of health. The type of treatment delivered is tailored accordingly. For instance, different and more gentle techniques are used for babies and children and those with lower bone density.
Most people feel great after their Chiropractic adjustment. You can often feel achy like you have been to the gym. This is because the muscles are working more as the joints they are attached to are now moving more freely.
During the initial consultation typically a gown is provided for you to change into. At follow up treatments comfortable clothing is recommended. Belts, shoes and jumpers/jackets are normally removed.
The cost of treatment is variable and dependent on what is found during the initial consultation. The chiropractor will discuss payment options during the report of findings session.
Your insurance may contribute to your care, this can vary from insurer to insurer. We do not deal directly with insurance companies. However, we are happy to provide all the necessary reports and receipts needed for you to make a claim.

When we adjust joints within the body often there can be an audible noise that occurs. This is due to the sudden formation of a small gas bubble within the joint by a process called Tribonucleation- rapid movement of the joint causes gas that is found dissolved in the joint fluid suddenly joining together and creating the small gas bubble.
Whether there is a noise or not there will be a change in how the joint will move and function with the surrounding nerves and muscles and so the chiropractor will always be more focused on re-checking how things are functioning after the adjustment rather than if there is a "click" or "pop".
